Tracy and her team from BNYMellon were the volunteers of the week, we also invited Credit Suisse and Lloyds of London to come and share the festivities as our regular volunteers through our the year.
BNYMellon also organised their choir to came for an hour to do a Christmas repertoire; they were great, they had our ladies, and staff I might add, singing along with gusto.
Then came the X Factor finale, it was the turn of our ladies to entertain the volunteers, we had singing, recitals and dancing; our ladies really do know how to perform.
Mrs Claus, in all her finery made an appearance to give out gifts and chocolate to all the ladies and BNYMellon did a gift raffle. The ladies went away laden, heavy bags and heavy tummies.
Special thanks have to go to Tyler Capital, The Rotary Club of Bromley, Tracy at BNYMellon and Sainsbury Whitechapel for their support in bringing the day together so magnificently.
Star of the day went to Whitechapel staff member, Michelle; the food on the buffet table looked too good to eat, we could have competed with any 5* restaurant, our ladies loved the attention to detail and appreciated the care.
We will be back on Friday 6th January, but until then, let me take this time to wish everyone and very Merry Christmas.
