Eleanor Hughes’ 2014 Paris Marathon Run

After a *few* glasses of wine in Berlin last October, inspired by watching others complete the marathon and actually enjoy it, I decided it would be a good idea for me to sign up to do my first marathon. And why not do it in Paris I thought? At least there would be a decent glass of rouge at the end of it all.

I am running in aid of the Whitechapel Mission who provide a cooked breakfast, medical attention and facilities to have a shower after a night on the street to more than 200 homeless people in London, 365 days of the year.

The Whitechapel Mission’s goal is to help people to help themselves, giving them the confidence they need to become independent, which they do through practical support and advice and by teaching them the life skills they need to succeed.
